How we handle your information and keep things transparent
Last Updated: October 17, 2025
Look, we get it - nobody actually enjoys reading these things. But here's the deal: we're an architecture firm based in Toronto, and we take your privacy seriously. This isn't some corporate jargon fest, just a straightforward explanation of what we do with your info when you work with us or check out our website.
When you reach out to us or start a project, we'll collect the basics - your name, email, phone number, and project address. If you're filling out our contact form or requesting a consultation, that's the stuff we need to actually help you out.
We also grab some technical data when you visit our site - things like IP addresses, browser type, and which pages you're browsing. It's pretty standard stuff that helps us understand how people use the site and where we can improve things.
For actual design projects, we'll obviously need more detailed info - property details, budget ranges, design preferences, and any specific requirements you've got. Can't really design your dream space without knowing what you're after, right?
Here's where your information goes: we use it to respond to your inquiries, prepare proposals, create design concepts, and manage ongoing projects. Pretty straightforward.
We might also send you project updates, occasional newsletters about our latest work (only if you've said it's cool), and important info about our services. Don't worry - we're not gonna spam you with daily emails or anything annoying like that.
Sometimes we'll analyze website traffic patterns to see what's working and what's not. Helps us make the site better and figure out what kind of content actually matters to people.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. All data transmission is encrypted, and we store everything on secure servers. We're not perfect, but we do our best to keep your stuff safe from unauthorized access or breaches.
We don't sell your data - that's not our thing. We might share info with contractors, engineers, or consultants who are working on your project, but only what they need to know. Sometimes we're legally required to disclose information, but that's rare and only happens when we've got no choice.
Yeah, we use cookies - not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. These little bits of code help us remember your preferences and understand how you interact with our site. Most browsers let you control cookie settings if you wanna adjust things.
We're using Google Analytics to track site performance and user behavior. It's anonymized data that helps us see what's popular and what needs work. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking if you want - there are browser extensions for that.
You've got some control here. In Canada, under PIPEDA and other privacy laws, you can request to see what data we've got on you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or tell us to delete your information altogether (unless we legally need to keep it).
Wanna unsubscribe from our emails? There's always an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Takes like two seconds. You can also reach out directly and we'll handle it manually if needed.
If you've got concerns about how we're handling your data, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd rather you talk to us first though - we're pretty reasonable people and will do what we can to sort things out.
We use a few third-party tools to run our business - email providers, cloud storage, project management software, that kind of thing. These companies have their own privacy policies, and we make sure they're legit before we work with them. We're not responsible for how they handle data on their end, but we do our due diligence in choosing partners.
We'll keep your personal information as long as it's needed for the purposes we collected it for. Active project files stay around for the duration of the project plus a reasonable period after completion - we're talking years, not decades. Financial records have their own retention requirements based on Canadian tax law.
Once we don't need your data anymore and there's no legal reason to keep it, we'll securely delete or anonymize it. If you're a former client and reach out years later, we might not have all your old details anymore - just a heads up.
We'll update this policy from time to time as our practices evolve or laws change. When we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on our website and update the date at the top. For major changes, we might send an email to clients with active projects. It's worth checking back occasionally to see if anything's changed.
If something in here doesn't make sense or you've got specific questions about how we handle your data, just reach out. We're happy to explain things in more detail or address any concerns you might have.
